2004-08-07 - 3:59 p.m. I was shocked and dismayed to learn that the beloved Commodore BASIC V2.0 -- my introduction to the wonderful path of software creation -- was written by none other than... gasp: Microsoft. It pains me to admit grudging admiration for a company I so despise, but this interpreter served me well for the first years I was discovering the power of programming.
